At this point, if you have been following my work, you know that I care a great deal about public engagement and making academic research matters. My role as director of the Minnesota Journalism Center enables me to do so.
With the hard work of MJC research assistant Allison Steinke, we are collaborating with The Society Pages "There's Research on That!" to produce accessible and concise academic literature reviews on important topics facing the journalism and news.
Since 2013, an open-access social science project headquartered in the Department of Sociology at the University of Minnesota and supported by individual donors, The Society Pages has been publishing "There's Research on That!" offering up great social science research that speaks to the big events of the day.
